About Us

New Bethel has been part of the community for 103+ years.  As one of the charter members of the Limestone County Baptist Association, God has used us as a shining light for His kingdom and we are very thankful for that special blessing.  God is continually changing us as He molds us into what He wants us to become.  Therefore, we are able to shine brighter for Him as we reach more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and is therefore infallible and without error.

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross for man’s sins.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

We believe in the visible and imminent return of Jesus Christ

We believe in a literal Heaven where the saved live eternally and a literal Hell where the lost shall be forever separated from God in torment.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God based upon his grace extended to those who will repent of sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

God has a wonderful gift for everyone, which is salvation through his son Jesus Christ.  Salvation is a gift to be received and not a goal to be achieved. (Ephesians 2: 8-9)

Three Steps to Salvation

Conviction of sin which separates us from God. (Romans 3:23)

Repentance of sin (1 John 1:9)

Putting your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 10: 9, 10,13)

A prayer that will help with decision making:

Dear God, I know that I have sinned.  I ask you to forgive me of my sins.  I ask Jesus to come into my heart and life to be my Lord and Savior.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
